The lil sis I never had! Colorful…joyful…sweet…talkative (I use that term loosely) and, of course, adorable! Since she turned 16 I don’t get to catch up on those “infrequent” drives home where I’d get the “happenings” in her life. Now I gotta schedule a photo opt. to get the details (…and details I got!). Don’t worry Kayla…I won’t mention names!

Thanks for being a wonderful mother, Mom!

We were at the cabin with friends a couple weeks ago.  After building a cozy campfire one evening I grabbed my camera and started shooting this little beauty!  She has the cutest little pout and most adorable button nose.  If she was my daughter I’m sure I’d already have a hard drive full of photos!

She’s a little princess…but try to get her to sit still!  As is the challenge with any 3 year old I suppose. lol.  It was an overcast day and the light was fading fast.  Combine that with an active little girl meant that I had to work fast.  I was grateful for my 50mm f/1.8.  After ’bout 15 min she began to lose interest in me and my camera.  Even references to Veggie Tales didn’t work anymore.  I was pleased to come away with a few keepers.
