Glendon & Keri’s Day

Sometimes things start out ugly… but end up beautiful! Well, that’s how the weather was on Glendon & Keri’s day. Even though our pre-ceremony outdoor photo plans got altered due to rain, the sky cleared up after the ceremony bringing beautiful light for some terrific shots at the Historic Ephrata Cloister. Glendon and Keri are such a wonderful couple who both appeared very calm and relaxed throughout the day. I enjoyed seeing how the grooms attention seemed to always be on his bride…as if they were the only two in the room. Their every exchange of word and deed shown beautifully with love and respect for each other. Glendon and Keri…may your marriage be filled with joy as you model for others true intimacy and authentic love! Thanks for letting me capture some of these tender moments on your wedding day!

Thanks also to Alicia Horst Photography for her help as she rocked her camera yet again.

In order to get the bride and groom to kiss, random names of couples were pulled from a hat and Glendon and Keri had to mimic “the kiss” performed by the couple. Let’s just say this was practice for the years to come when love needs to be a little more… “intentional”. I believe this one was demonstrated by Julie Hamer (spelling?) and her husband (and kids).

As the guests were leaving the reception they were graced by this sky so beautiful! “…red at night, honeymooner’s delight!”

Ok…so my blog has been a little neglected lately. It gives me great pleasure to revive it with this awesome couple! We photographed against the beautiful backdrop of the Historic Ephrata Cloister at the crack of dawn. Thankfully the rain stopped sometime during the night and we were able to enjoy the warm glow of the soft morning light. Between the ceremony and reception we stopped at the old Ephrata train station on Main Street. Thanks to my mother-in-law for lending me her vintage suitcase and umbrella. A Big thanks also to Alicia Horst Photography for assisting me! She has a terrific eye and grabbed some amazing images! Approximately 1/4th of the shots below came from her camera.

Thank you, Jess & Brendon, for choosing Weaver Images to cover your special day! Blessings to you as you begin this sweet journey of life together!

What a gorgeous day for a wedding! With mild temperatures, sunshine and a subtle breeze… it doesn’t get much better! Once again, I had the honor and privilege of assisting Char of Authentic.You.Photography in capturing the day’s events. I was charged with covering the guys in the morning at Comfort Suites in Exton. After grabbing some getting-ready shots we headed outside for a few of the Groomsmen. Jayce and his family are from Florida. He’s also the first of seven siblings to get married!

We left there and met up with Char and Tawanda at the church who came from covering the bride and bridesmaids at the house. The ceremony was officiated by the groom’s father.

The reception location was absolutely beautiful! Welkinweir is a beautiful estate hidden in a lush valley overlooking a small lake. It provided many possibilities for great photos. I only wished the “golden hour” was a golden 2 hours! Even more beautiful than the location was the way Jayce and Nicole looked and smiled at each other. It was a pleasure working with them! Jayce and Nicole — God bless you guys as you begin your new life together!

The little red-haired girl from Lititz — whose battle with cancer and a plea for Christmas cards touched people’s hearts the world over — was given only a few weeks to live late last year.

But Hannah, who was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme in October and wasn’t expected to see Christmas, struggled through to her fifth birthday on Jan. 16. She celebrated Easter and even managed to dip her toes in the Chesapeake Bay during an early summer outing.

She rode in a fire truck in the Mother’s Day Make-a-Wish convoy and, on May 30, she fulfilled a dream by serving as flower girl in her cousin Sheri’s wedding. Her favorite colors were pink and purple, and she loved to draw.

Hannah died Tuesday evening, surrounded by her family. -Intelligencer Journal

May she rest in peace. Our prayers are with the family.

When asked by an extraordinary photographer to be a second shooter in a outdoor wedding at a beautiful location…of course my answer was YES! The weather was great and the details impeccable. Add to that a lovely couple and you have truly a perfect day!

It was truly an honor to work alongside Char from Authentic You Photography. Her work is amazing! You can see more of her work here
